Sow the Wind, Reap the Whirlwind
The aphorism “sow the wind, reap the whirlwind” is as meaningful today as it was nearly three thousand years ago when the Prophet Hosea first wrote those words.
But this maxim was forgotten by those who hate President Donald Trump and the nation’s police forces. Since President Trump first descended the escalator in 2015, he and his voters have been dismissed, demeaned, and derided.
For more than four years Democrats and Never-Trump Republicans called Trump supporters deplorable, racist, sexist, and chumps; after Democratic Party surrogates rioted during Trump's Inauguration in 2017; after contesting the 2016 election; after harassing Trump administration members; and after four years of phony investigations of President Trump, they claim to want to heal the country? Trump supporters were assaulted; their homes vandalized; their rallies disrupted by Democratic Party operatives; their elected representatives terrorized. The media mocked them, social media banned them, Wall Street laughed at them, and the politicians ignored them - even their fellow Republicans insulted them.

The vilification did not end with Trump voters. These elites maligned the police. They demonized police as racist killers. Any arrest-related death of a black person was a reason for the Left to riot - and be praised for doing so.
Democrats, Antifa, Black Lives Matter (BLM), and Leftists of all stripes rioted, pillaged, raped, and killed with impunity during 2020. Indeed, not just impunity, they were rewarded for their tumult. For the Republicans condemning the January 6 Capitol Hill riot - keep in mind Black Lives Matter received millions of corporate dollars; had statues of their heroes erected, NFL owners, like Jerry Jones, took a knee with his players in solidarity with BLM rioters, the NBA emblazoned Black Lives Matter on the floor of their arena; streets were named after them. Churches literally gave the Leftwing rioters their blessings.
The ochlocracy was adored and venerated. What was the average American supposed to think? Obviously, lawlessness gets results? If they can riot so can we.
What did the nation’s leaders think would be the result of their explicit or implicit approval of the Leftist ochlocrats and their insurrections of the past several years? (Even as I write this President-elect Biden claimed that the Capitol Hill riot was treated more leniently by police than a BLM riot despite an unarmed woman killed by Capitol Hill police.)
The very first time an American city was “occupied” and declared “autonomous” by Leftists without punishment; when these actions were called a “Summer of Love,” by the city’s mayor; or when reporters called BLM and Antifa riots ``peaceful protests,” while standing in front of burning buildings; or when politicians tried “de-escalation;” or when police chiefs marched with rioters - the very second these acts occurred is when the genie was let out of the bottle!
Once the politicians appeased the Leftwing mobs and condemned police - then mob actions became legitimized.
Of course, this is true of everybody except Trump voters.
Politicians love everybody except for Middle America. These people are just supposed to pay and obey!
Trump voters should not allow themselves to be silenced. Despite what Democrats say about them and what Republicans think of them, Trump voters are not a subspecies. They are not the Morlocks laboring for the DC/Manhattan/Hollywood Eloi. No matter how much Anderson Cooper, Bill Kristol, George Conway, Peter Strzok, and Chris Cuomo despise Trump voters, they have a right to peaceably express their views.
The tens of thousands of Americans who gathered on January 6, in their nation’s capital, had every right to express their displeasure with the recent presidential election. The importance of the integrity of American elections cannot be overstated. It is the bedrock of our government and our freedoms. No less than one of America’s Founding Fathers, President John Adams, acknowledged this in his March 4, 1797, Inaugural address. He said (emphasis added),
... we should be unfaithful to ourselves if we should ever lose sight of the danger to our liberties if anything partial or extraneous should infect the purity of our free, fair, virtuous, and independent elections. If an election is to be determined by a majority of a single vote, and that can be procured by a party through artifice or corruption, the Government may be the choice of a party for its own ends, not of the nation for the national good.”
So if there is violence by the Right, blame it on the American ruling class and their media myrmidons. The class warfare they declared on Middle America coupled with the permissiveness and sympathy they have shown to Leftwing mobs has engendered an environment where only the strong survive.
The American aristocracy forgot Hosea’s admonition.
