With attack on Capitol, Democrats have their Reichstag Fire
A horrific attack on a country’s Congressional building that occurred shortly after a contentious election. The political party that won the election casts blame on political rivals, condemning, vilifying, and demonizing anyone that is associated with them. In response to the attack, the people of those in power institute draconian laws and take political acts to “protect the country from insurrection” while reinforcing how their agenda will save the country. If you thought this described the events in Washington D.C. on January 6th, 2021, you’d be mistaken. This is the scenario that occurred at the Reichstag building, home of German parliament, on February 27, 1933 in Berlin, Germany. Yet, with the Capitol Hill riots, the Democrats now have their very own Reichstag fire.
It is historical fact that the Nazis used the Reichstag fire to impose fear in their country regarding the opposition party – in this case, communists – while consolidating and strengthening their power. The day after the Reichstag fire, Hitler led Germany to attack any opposition to their agenda as sympathizers to the agitators. The Reichstag fire was used to suspend most civil liberties such as freedom of expression, freedom of the press, and the right of free association. After the events of last week, the Democrats are doing the same.
In Reichstagian fashion, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi excoriated Trump and Republicans after the attack much the way Hitler did with the communists at the time.
“Sadly, the person running the executive branch is a deranged, unhinged, dangerous president of the United States, and [there are] only a number of days until we can be protected from him,” Pelosi said in an interview Sunday evening with 60 Minutes. “But he has done something so serious that there should be prosecution against him.”
In their latest attempt to establish to shred the Constitution and rule by decree, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi demanded Vice President Mike Pence invoke the 25th Amendment to remove President Donald Trump this week or Pelosi would assert Führerprinzip and instruct the Reich Ministry of Justice instruct Democrats to an unprecedented second impeachment – less than a week remaining in Trump’s term.
Jumping on this partisan momentum, the Brown shirts of Big Tech – Twitter, Google, Amazon – used their Section 230 shield to suspend President Trump’s account and any social media platform that was supportive to rightwing Americans.
Keep in mind, President Trump never advocated, sponsored, funded, nor advised anyone to riot at the Capitol. This was the work of a fringe element of a group of Trump supporters who performed those heinous acts after a rally about alleged election fraud. And this is not to say that these people should not be condemned, arrested, and punished. That much is obvious. It is the sheer hypocrisy and turning a blind eye to violence and insurrection caused by riots such as BLM and Antifa, while being outraged and changing protocols when it came to the Capitol Hill rioters. Yet, unlike the death, destruction, and damage that accompanied the BLM riots this summer, the term “mostly peaceful protesters” was not applied here.
And, if “riots inspired by lies” is your barometer on the ethos of such insurrections, let me remind you that BLM was founded on the lies surrounding the Trayvon Martin case and “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot.” Further riling up citizens with lies of BLM continued this summer with the “sleeping while black” campaign surrounding the tragic death of Breonna Taylor. Yet, such violence that accompanies these riots motivated by lies results in silence from the Democrats. No calls for impeachment. No actions taken by the Big Tech Brown Shirts. Additionally, if court decisions are the basis for favorable rioting, it must be pointed out the same courts and justice system that decided there was not any proof of election fraud, are the same courts and justice system that decided the overwhelming majority of police accused of shooting black suspects did not act illegally.
Naturally it is right to be dismayed and condemn the actions of what transpired at the Capitol on January 6th. The overwhelming majority of Republicans have done exactly that. However, the Democrats seem intent on using this incident as a means to grow their power and influence through the legislature and public opinion. And, with the help and cooperation of the Fourth Estate in the United States along with the Brown Shirts of Big Tech, they are doing just that.
With their now Reichstagian power, Democrats deemed all Trump supporters persona non grata. Democrats don’t care about law and order or protecting people from riots. Their enablement of the rioting in 2020 proved that. This is nothing more than political theater to erode the constitutionally protected civil liberties of their political opponents. This is an effort to forcefully impose their tyrannical will to eliminate those that disagree with their agenda. And while the truth of the corruption behind the Reichstag fire eventually emerged, hopefully, so too will those of the Democrats in this country.
